Dental assisting is more than just a growth industry*, it’s also a personally satisfying way to help improve people’s quality of life by helping them better care for their teeth and gums. Dental assistants are critical to performing a number of fascinating and challenging functions, such as:

Our mission is to help prepare graduates for entry-level employment by providing them with practical, hands-on training. We are in regular contact with Cleveland-area employers to make sure that the training we offer is current and in demand. We invite employers to the Campus to review our facilities, equipment, courses and programs.
The Dental Assisting Diploma Program provides training in performing invasive procedures, such as placing retraction cords and dental dams, as well as non-invasive procedures, such as patient education. The Program also provides training in preparing operatories for dental patient treatment, taking dental impressions, and identifying oral disease indications.
Unlike dental hygienists, dental assistants perform both administrative and clinical tasks, and they are often responsible for instructing patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare.
